I met the Deller family two years ago. I had just started my photography business and they had just adopted Charlotte and Jack from China. They had asked me to photograph their family and I was beyond honored to take their first photos as a family of 5. It was so incredibly special!! Adoption is something that is so near and dear to my heart as I have 9 adopted siblings from all over the world!

When Maggie suggested Beaver Creek State Park for her fall family session, I was so excited! I had never been there before but I had heard it was beautiful! And gosh, guys this place was amazing!! As I drove into the park, I was overwhelmed with the colorful leaves, the historic buildings, the peaceful creek and the picturesque bridges.

This session was filled with double the cuteness! I’ve known Alexa since high school so I was SO excited when she reached out to me about scheduling a family session while I was home in Rochester, NY for the week. We were in the same competitive dance class at Jody B’s Studio and now we both are married with two kids! How time flies!!! It was so wonderful to see her and meet her beautiful family!

The innocence of a child is truly captivating. I think that’s why I just love photographing babies and children. They aren’t self conscious yet, they just happily themselves. Their eyes are my favorite…that’s where the innocence shines through. Their gaze is so pure.

11 days NEW! This sweet baby boy was such a joy to photograph! Little Luca graced the world with his presence 11 days before his due date ! So that means I was photographing this little guy on his actual due date! I kept saying to Annie all through the session, “I can’t believe he’s here! I feel like I was just shooting your maternity photos!!”

Just as a heads up….this a very Grace-Full post. Lots and lots of photos of her! I only realized this once I started editing the photos that I didn’t have many of John, but that OK there’s lots of him in other months!

This is Charlotte….the floating rainbow unicorn.

She resides in Vermont at my Grandparent’s home on Lake St. Catherine. She is a lovely addition to a place that is filled with already amazing memories for me. My grandparent’s home, which we call the Camp, is nestled in the Green Mountains of Vermont on a beautiful glacier formed lake in the town of Wells, Vermont. I have visited this place my entire life.
