This session was filled with double the cuteness! I’ve known Alexa since high school so I was SO excited when she reached out to me about scheduling a family session while I was home in Rochester, NY for the week. We were in the same competitive dance class at Jody B’s Studio and now we both are married with two kids! How time flies!!! It was so wonderful to see her and meet her beautiful family!

The village of Pittsford, NY with its classic main street and beautiful Schoen Place by the Eric Canal provided the perfect location for Brittany’s senior portraits. There were colorful buildings and potted flowers on store fronts as well as the peaceful path along the canal with bridges in the background.

The innocence of a child is truly captivating. I think that’s why I just love photographing babies and children. They aren’t self conscious yet, they just happily themselves. Their eyes are my favorite…that’s where the innocence shines through. Their gaze is so pure.

This was an incredibly special session. True friendship can withstand time and distance. True friendship is something so good for the soul. True friendship is something that gives us a taste of God’s love for us and how heaven will be. Liz and Erin have been friends since high school. Though they have lived states apart, they have remained friends. But what makes this session SO incredibly special is the next chapter of their story that is unfolding.

This session was especially special for me. You see, Rebecca is my sister, my little sister. And taking her SENOIR portraits was 1) such a blast and an honor and 2) made me feel SO OLD! I can still remember very clearly the day Becca came home to us from South Korea. She was adorable, had crazy baby hair and her personality lit up the room. And now she’s going into her senior year of high school, is still adorable, has crazy amazing hair and her personality still lights up a room!

I met Caitlin at a mom’s night about a year ago. She’s got a magnetic personality and I loved getting to know her. So I was really excited when she messaged me about doing a family session with her husband’s family. She suggested we do the session at Friendship Park near Smithfield, Ohio. I had never been there before but I’m always looking for new and different locations for sessions.
GUYS. This may be my new favorite photo location!
