The delicate morning frost was still sparkling on the crunchy grass and crispy leaves during this late fall family session in Steubenville, OH. Though it was a chilly November morning in the Ohio Valley, it was a beautiful morning for photos! The warm sunlight glistened through the leaves that were still on the trees. I find it fun to find the best location with the best lighting because that changes depending on the time of day. A location that is great for sunset light won’t necessarily work for morning sun. I found some great shade with beautiful light (I know that probably sounds silly, shade with light, but that’s how I like to describe it!) and it really made for some gorgeous images.

I was so excited to work with Megan’s sweet family! She mentioned that it had been quite a while since they had updated family photos and I was very happy to change that! Her two children were so adorable and I loved all of their outfits! I’m a huge fan of neutrals with a pop of color! It makes for light and bright photos and keeps the focus on the people.

It was such a pleasure to meet and photograph this sweet family! They now have some updated family photos … so mission accomplished! Yay!
