Fall Fernwood State Forest Anniversary Session | Vanessa + Steven

One year (and a few months) into marriage and these two still radiate so much joy! I was so excited for Vanessa and Steven’s anniversary session in this gorgeous location overlooking Fernwood State Forest near Steubenville, OH.  We picked the date for their session a while back, not knowing what the weather would be.  Well, the weather did not disappoint.  It was sunny with a high of 75 (Relient K anyone?) and it the entire session we just soaked up the glory of the sun setting over the rolling hills in the Ohio Valley.

Vanessa and Steven are two of the most joyful, fun and genuine people you’ll meet.  They were married in May 2019 and now they are over one year into married life, still brimming with that newlywed joy. We spent the session laughing and sharing stories about married life, the ups and downs, joys and struggles. It was such an honor to capture the love between these two beautiful people….a love that has only grown deeper through the grace of marriage.

Vanessa and Steven, you two are such a gift and I am so thankful we live on the same street! Your zest for life, sense of adventure and passion for each other is truly inspiring! I loved hanging out with you two and watching the sun set during your session and gosh, these images of you two are some of my all time favorites! I hope you look back, years from now, at these images as well as your wedding images and remember the glory of those newlywed days!
