I can not believe how fast this summer went by! August was a fun month with lots of playdates and a visit from some wonderful friends! It was also filled with engagement sessions, a wedding and a few family sessions too. A good combo of calm and busy.
About midway through the month the student’s came back to Franciscan and my little sister is now a freshman! It’s so nice having her in town! And well, to be honest, it’s so nice to have all of the students back. It feels like we are inching back to normal….it was so sad to have an empty campus.
In late August we had our friends from Cincinnati here for a weekend visit. It was the first weekend of apple picking at Simmons Farm so we headed out there and it was such a nice way to end summer and kick off fall!
I didn’t take as many photos this month but I did manage to capture moments of our everyday life. I am glad we will have these to look back at years later. This is normal life at home nothing flashy, just ordinary life!
They started playing hide and seek together and it’s so cute! Clearly John wasn’t terribly thrilled to be found.
A new favorite activity for John is playing with Play-Doh! He loves to create things with it and I’m always blown away at his creativity! He makes anything from animals to food!
