Washington’s Landing Engagement Session in Pittsburgh | Alyson + Jacob

On a perfect fall evening in Pittsburgh, we met up with Alyson and Jake at a new location for us! Alyson had suggested Washinton’s Landing which is on Herr’s Island, a little island on the Allegheny River in Pittsburgh. This was an incredible location for their engagement session.  It had so much variety for locations and it’s not very busy! Huge perk when it comes to shooting in a bustling city!

We started at one end of the island, in a park setting which was perfect for their fall outfits.  The sunlight was glowing through the trees, which is always a good thing in my book.  As we were walking back to our cars, I was in awe of how the light was catching on the long brush along the path that we just HAD to stop! You’d never know we were on the edge of a parking lot as this spot was just stunning!!

Alyson and Jake changed into their second outfits and we walked to the opposite end of the island to a bridge with views of downtown Pittsburgh.  I had never seen the city skyline from this angle! It was a gorgeous location and the perfect spot for a little fun with champagne bottles! Those images turned out so great!! It was an epic ending to a lovely engagement session!

Alyson and Jake, we had such a great time getting to know you two, and we can’t wait for your wedding at Oglebay next year! It’s going to be amazing!
