Traditional Latin Mass Wedding at Most Precious Blood of Jesus Catholic Church in Pittsburgh | Maddie + Anthony

Maddie and Anthony’s winter wedding was nothing short of picture perfect.  The sun was shining and the ground was covered in sparkling snow. Maddie’s lace veil stole the show and looked absolutely stunning as she walked down the aisle toward her best friend and love of her life, Anthony.  

There was so much attention to detail both on the part of the couple and on the part of God Who wrote this love story.  Maddie had prayed for a Latin Mass-loving man who was also a conservative and shared the same worldview and values as her.  Anthony is just that man!  They met via a dating app and quickly their friendship grew into a deep love.  God gave Maddie exactly what she asked for and He also blessed her with beautiful weather for her wedding day!

I was blown away by Anthony’s gift to Maddie.  He bought a large, blue linen book that was full of empty white pages. She knew he had bought this book but had no idea what he had put inside. Guys, it was filled cover to cover with handwritten letters. Every day he wrote her a letter.  There was not a dry eye in that room as Maddie flipped through the hundreds of letters bound in this book. What an incredible treasure! Maddie had always wanted handwritten letters from her future spouse, she loved the beauty of that old form of communication that has been lost due to technology and the ease of texting. Well, Anthony fulfilled that desire of hers with such an incredible gift and Maddie’s face just says it all!

Maddie and Anthony were married in a beautiful Traditional Latin Mass wedding at Most Precious Blood of Jesus Parish in Pittsburgh.  On a personal note, as the priests walked out, I noted that the main celebrant looked incredibly familiar.  And then I realized, it was a friend from college, Fr. Brian Crenwelge! I graduated with him 10 years ago! It was so good to see him after all these years! He was the priest serving at WVU while Anthony was studying there and Fr. Brian was the one who introduced Anthony to the TLM! Such a small world!

Maddie and Anthony, we had such a blast with you two and it’s been a true joy to get to know you as a couple and serve you as your photographers! We can’t wait to see what God has instore for you as a married couple! God bless!!
