Floral Garden Party Inspired Catholic Wedding at Basilica of St. Josaphat | Ashlin + Mark

Run the race, so as to win! This bible verse was the theme of the homily for Ashlin and Mark’s beautiful spring wedding at the Basilica of St. Josaphat in Milwaukee, WI.  Fr. Zack Burns TOR was the main celebrant of their nuptial Mass which was so special as he was the chaplain of their Cross Country team while they were college students. He reflected upon how a race was a good image for marriage.  He spoke of how a runner prepares for the race and once the race begins, he persevers to the end, even when things get hard.  Their wedding day is the beginning of the greatest race of their lives and they should run so as to win!

Ashlin and Mark’s day was meticulously planned from beginning to end.  Ashlin’s vision for a floral garden party inspired wedding was finally realized and the end results were spectacular! The colors of the dresses and florals, the pressed flowers on the cards at the reception, it was stunning from beginning to end!

One of my favorite moments from the day was on the trolley.  I rode with the bridal party and had a blast singing along with everyone! Such a fun way to travel from location to location! I captured one moment between the newlyweds that was so sweet.  As everyone was enjoying themselves, singing along to the song that was playing, I noticed Ashlin and Mark in the back of the trolley, looking at the wedding bans on their hands.  They were admiring them and looking at each other so tenderly.  Such a beautiful moment, realizing that after years of dating and months of planning, they were finally husband and wife!

Ashlin and Mark, we are beyond thrilled for you both! We hope you are having the best time in Portugal! It was such a blessing to celebrate with your sweet family and friends and we hope that these images bring back so many joyful memories of your amazing wedding day!
