Paris and Max’s story began when they met in high school. Paris and Max were in the same grade in a small Catholic school in Rochester, NY. Their friendship grew and they attended college together at Ave Maria University. Their friendship developed into love and now, on a summer day, they began their lives as husband and wife in the sight of God and their friends and family.
This wedding was a special one for Matthew and me on a personal level. 8 years ago we were married in this little church in downtown Rochester. It looks a bit different from when we were married (the church underwent a huge restoration back in 2018 and now looks even more beautiful than when we were married) but it’s still the same little French church on Pleasant Street where we began our marriage. It was so special talking with Paris about how it felt walking down that aisle toward Max because I had walked down that same aisle. I love the image from that moment where Paris and her brother are smiling together just before he walked her down.
After a beautiful nuptial Mass, we headed to their reception at Jack’s Place. We could see some dark clouds ahead of us as we drove so I said a prayer that we would beat the rain and have time for portraits. And God provided! There were black storm clouds to my back as I photographed the couple and the bridal party and the wind really picked up but we stayed dry and got some really beautiful portraits!
Paris and Max we are beyond thrilled for you two! Thank you for choosing us to capture your beautiful day. I love that we share the special connection that OLV is where we were married! We hope you are having a blast up in Acadia National Park (what a beautiful place for a honeymoon!) God bless you both!
xoxo,
Laura
