On a beautiful early morning, we met up with Becky and Connor on Fire Island, a narrow island off the coast of Long Island, NY. We knew it would be an early start when we planned this engagement session. Sunrise sessions work best if you start before the sun peeks over the horizon, meaning that you begin your session 30 minutes before the official sunrise. Well little did we know, we chose the longest day of the year, the summer solstice.
It was still quite dark when we arrived on Fire Island and we walked with Becky and Connor to our beginning spot on the beach, looking out to the Atlantic Ocean. We literally couldn’t have asked for better weather, the sun rose softly and there was a slight cloud cover that diffused those morning rays to give us just a glorious warm glow!
We met Becky and Connor last summer at Becky’s sister’s wedding. I was so excited when they reached out to tell us that they were now engaged! These two are just a blast to be around and I am so excited for another Murgia family wedding! Connor and Becky met while at college, they had the same major and both attended the Catholic Newman Center on campus. They will be getting married later this year and we are pumped for their fall wedding!
Their two outfits were perfect for a beach session! The island is so narrow that we could easily walk from one side to the other with a stop at the lighthouse in between. It was a dream of a session for us and I have so many images to share, it was so hard to choose favorites!
xoxo,
Laura
