Theresa and Joshua’s summer wedding at the Cathedral of St. Peter in Wilmington, Delaware, was a lovely day that was brimming with joy and the color pink! These two met on a dating app and were the perfect match, as Father elaborated on during the homily. They shared a deep love of the Catholic faith and attributed their meeting to the intercession of St. Therese of Lisieux.
We began their day in Theresa’s childhood home. She was there with her sisters, mother and friends. There is something so special about being in your family’s home as you prepare to begin your life with your spouse. We then went to the Cathedral, which is Theresa’s family’s parish. Joshua looked so handsome in his white coat tuxedo. His eyes filled with happy and grateful tears as Theresa walked down the aisle. It was a beautiful nuptial Mass, with lovely music. The chalice that was used was Ven. Fulton Sheen’s travel chalice! At the end of Mass, they prayed in the Marian chapel, a spot where Theresa’s dad would bring them to pray each Sunday.
After Mass we headed to Marian Coffin Gardens at Gibraltar. This was a gorgeous spot for portraits and provided some shade on the hot summer day! After portraits, it was time to party! We headed to Grant Hall at St. Elizabeth Catholic Church for a wonderful reception. The highlight of the evening was the Water Ice truck that arrived. It was the perfect dessert for a hot summer day, so incredibly refreshing!
Theresa and Joshua, we had such an incredible time with you both on your wedding day. You come from such wonderful families, and it was such a joy to meet them and celebrate the beginning of your vocation together!
