Fall had just arrived in Cincinnati, Ohio, and with it came the beautiful celebration of Lauren and Josh’s wedding day at the stunning Cathedral Basilica of St. Peter in Chains. The crisp air, golden light, and changing leaves set the perfect tone for their timeless and joy-filled day.
Lauren began her morning at the historic Netherland Plaza Hotel, surrounded by her family and closest friends. The atmosphere was joyful and full of anticipation as she got her hair and make up done. They chatted about her and Josh’s relationship and how finally after all these years, this day had finally arrived!
Lauren and Josh’s story began years ago while attending a retreat together at Purdue University. What started as friendship soon grew into something deeper, and it was so evident throughout their wedding day how strong that foundation of faith and friendship is at the heart of their relationship.
Their Nuptial Mass took place at the very church they attend Mass each Sunday — the breathtaking Cathedral Basilica of St. Peter in Chains. The soaring Greek Revival architecture, marble columns, and sacred music created a truly heavenly atmosphere as they exchanged vows before God and their loved ones.
After Mass, we captured portraits on the grand steps of the Cathedral, framed by its iconic columns. From there, we headed to George Rogers Clark Park, where the Cincinnati skyline provided the perfect backdrop. The America’s River Roots Festival was happening that weekend, and the river was full of boats — adding such a fun, lively energy to their portraits!
Next, we made our way to Cincinnati Museum Center at Union Terminal, one of the city’s most stunning landmarks, for more portraits! We ended the evening downtown at Fountain Square, just steps away from their reception venue, Backstage Event Center, where the celebration continued with dinner, dancing, and joyful moments shared with family and friends.
Lauren and Josh’s wedding day was the perfect blend of elegance, joy, and deep faith — a day that reflected not only their love for each other but also their love for Christ and His Church.
