There’s something so uniquely peaceful about the North Fork of Long Island in late fall: the quiet fields, the golden light, and that refreshing crispness in the air that reminds you that winter is on its way. As Catholic wedding photographers, Matthew and I always feel a deep sense of gratitude as we capture the final wedding of the year. What a gift it is to serve so many couples as they begin their vocations to marriage. It is truly such a blessing to witness how God is continually calling people to this vocation and continuing to create amazing families.
Charlotte and Ben began their day tucked inside the cozy charm of the historic Jedediah Hawkins Inn. Friends and family moved throughout the rooms with intentional care, helping with final touches, and making sure that both Ben and Charlotte had everything they needed.
After getting ready, everyone made their way to Our Lady of Ostrabrama Catholic Church, a beloved and deeply personal place for Charlotte. For many years, she and her family attended Mass there during her family’s summers on the North Fork, and it felt so fitting that she was getting married in this same church.
The wedding Mass was incredibly beautiful. As the doors opened and Charlotte stepped into the aisle, Ben’s eyes filled with tears. I was blinking back tears as I watched through my camera as Charlotte’s father lifted her blusher and passed her hand to Ben’s. After so many years of dating and engagement, their wedding was finally here!
After Mass, we headed back to Jedediah Hawkins Inn where guests were greeted with incredible food and one of the most energetic bands we’ve heard all year. One of the standout memories of the night came when Charlotte’s brother and father joined the band to play a few songs. The whole room lit up, and it felt like the perfect way to usher Charlotte and Ben into their new life together.
As we packed up our gear at the end of the evening, Matthew and I couldn’t help but feel incredibly grateful. Charlotte and Ben’s wedding was the most beautiful closing chapter to our 2025 season: a day full of faith, family, music, and heartfelt joy on one of the most picturesque stretches of Long Island.
Charlotte & Ben, thank you for trusting us to capture your sacrament, your families, and every unforgettable moment of your wedding day. What a gift it was to end our year with you! If horse races and bourbon bring you out to our neck of the woods, our door is open to you!
xoxo,
