Everything about this Cleveland engagement session was a dream! The couple, the location, the light! It was just stunning! We met up Sela and James at the Cleveland Museum of Art for their late fall engagement session. The white marble steps provided such dreamy reflective light and the sun was putting on a show for us as it set over the city. You can’t even tell just how cold it really was, that wind off of Lake Erie was biting!! But these two were naturals in front of the camera. They were so comfortable with each other and made it so easy to capture genuine emotions and interactions between them!
I love a good high school sweetheart story. When getting to know Sela and James, we found out they have been dating since high school! James proposed to Sela this past summer on her family’s back deck. He has decorated it with rose petals and string lights. To make the spot even more special, this was the same spot where they first said “I love you”….how sweet is that??
Sela suggested the Cleveland Museum of Art as their session location and from the moment I googled it, I was sold. This location had it all, columns, white marble staircases, and a tree-lined pond. She mentioned that many of the trees are cherry trees and it’s stunning in the spring. You can bet I want to have my own family photos taken here someday!
Sela and James’s style fit this location perfectly: classic and elegant! I loved Sela’s gown from Baltic Born and it paired so well with James’ classy black suit. It really elevated the whole look of this session. I can’t wait to see how they incorporate their love of classic elegance into their wedding!
There were so many good images to choose from for their blog post…I had such a hard time narrowing it down! Enjoy scrolling through my favorites!
xoxo,
Laura
