Nick and Mackenzie are the kind of people that to know them is to love them. Their kindness, generosity, and intentionality shone through on their wedding day. But above everything else, their love for Jesus, His Church, and each other was the hallmark of their day. They entered into the sacrament of marriage with the joy and solemnity it deserved and it was an incredible honor to witness their sacred day.
Their classic Rhode Island wedding day began with gorgeous and intentional details. Nick handmade rosaries for all of his groomsmen and he gifted them saint-themed cufflinks with each of their patron saints. Their stunning invitation suite, menus, napkins and Mass programs were designed by Pieta Paperie. They included a beautiful holy card with a prayer on the back for the couple.
After getting ready we headed to the church for a wedding Mass with the Bishop of the Diocese of Providence. This church holds a special significance to Nick and Mackenzie as during the last Easter Vigil they both received the Sacraments of Initiation and were received into the Catholic Church. At their welcome party the night before, Nick and Mackenzie shared their story with us and I was just floored by the faithfulness of God and their docility to the Holy Spirit. There were so many joyful tears throughout the Mass and the joy continued throughout the rest of the day!
Their reception was at the iconic Aldrich Mansion. This venue is jaw-droppingly stunning. There were two dining rooms off the main foyer, one with a light and elegant feel and the other with a dark and dramatic flair. We took photos around the interior of the mansion before dinner as it was raining but after dinner, the rain lightened up and we were able to go outside for a few before the sun set. And then it was time for the dessert room to open and for the party to start! It was a wedding day we will never forget!
Nick and Mackenzie, it has been a sincere honor to be your photographers and we can’t wait to see what God has in store for your family!
