Picture a perfect summer day in Cincinnati, Ohio. The bright sun shines, there’s a blue sky with puffy white clouds, and the trees are lush and green. This was the setting for Haley and Enrique’s summer wedding at St. Monica St George Catholic Church and Hotel Covington. It was an unforgettable day filled with faith and family. These two were so evidently loved by all who were present to witness the beginning of their marriage. And the profundity of what they were about to enter into was evidenced by all the happy and loving tears that were shed throughout their wedding day.
Matthew began the day with Enrique at Hotel Covington. Enrique had a custom suit made for his wedding with the date embroidered inside the jacket. He wore his Tecovas boots that finished the look. Meanwhile, Haley was getting ready at an adorable Airbnb near the church. She looked heavenly as she slipped into her dress and donned her lace-trimmed veil. After a tender first look with her father, it was time to head to the church!
Just before Mass began, Haley and Enrique took a quiet moment to pray together in the pews. Enrique held Haley’s rosary in his hands and he led them in prayer, thanking God for the gift of their relationship and asking His blessings on their future family. Enrique held her rosary the whole Mass. This was unplanned and such a beautiful thing to see.
As Haley walked down the aisle, she was beaming! The excitement was palpable! Father Jeff preached a beautiful homily on the sacrament and purpose of marriage. After they said their vows, just as Father was blessing the rings with holy water, I noticed Enrique mouth the words “we’re married” to Haley and they both were giddy with joy! This joy was carried throughout the beautiful nuptial Mass and as they were walking down the aisle after Mass had ended, Haley literally jumped for joy! It was the cutest little hop as she held her new husband’s arm.
We went to Ault Park for some photos and the newly married couple read their vows and promises they had written to each other in the shade of a tree. Afterwards, we went to Revival Vintage Bottle Shop for some drinks and enjoyed the AC! Refreshed from this little break, it was time to party!
Hotel Covington has a beautiful courtyard and this outdoor reception was absolutely stunning! Haley and Enrique were showered with love in heartfelt, tear-filled toasts. After dinner it was time to dance the night away! It was a perfect day, from beginning to end!
