Spring Maternity Session in Wheeling, West Virginia | Diana + Michael

Springtime and motherhood seem to just go together.  Maybe it’s the fact that Mother’s Day falls during this season or maybe it’s because the world is bursting with new life:  delicate blossoms dot the landscape and the bare trees become green with new leaves. Many animals give birth to sweet babies in the spring and Easter also falls during this beautiful season.  So many reminders of freshness and newlife! So a springtime maternity session seemed to be the perfect combination!

I was thrilled when Diana asked if I would take some maternity photos of her and her husband Michael.  They are due with their sweet boy in July and this little one is an answer to years and years of prayer and longing. Praise God for the gift of his life!! Diana is a fellow photographer and you should definitely go check out her work! It’s dreamy!

We met up at the Heritage Port in Wheeling, WV for their maternity session and this location was just perfect! It is a park along the Ohio River and there are views of the iconic Wheeling Suspension Bridge. There are walkways down by the water which provided some lovely river photos as well as some blooming trees closer to the street that gave this session the springtime feel.  Diana’s dress from PinkBlush Maternity was STUNNING and was the perfect choice for a dreamy maternity session!
