Therese and Phillip were one of the most expressively excited couples we have ever had during their Catholic Nuptial Mass at the National Shrine of the Little Flower Basilica in Royal Oak, MI, just outside of Detroit. They were just giddy with delight that they were FINALLY married. After months of planning, changing plans and uncertainty, their wedding day had finally arrived.
Their day began with the girls getting ready at the salon. I loved chatting with the bridesmaid, getting to know them and how they knew Therese. The common sentiment that was shared by all was how happy they were for Therese. They all commented how Phillip was perfect for her! You could really tell how much they cared for Therese and wanted all the best for their dear friend and sister.
Phillip and Therese’s wedding Mass was beautiful. The church was filled with brightly colored poinsettias and everywhere you looked, you were reminded that it was still Christmas. As they said their wedding promises to one another, you could truly sense that they knew and understood what they were saying…..to love and honor one another all the days of their lives. I think my favorite part of their day was at the end, when the priest introduced them as husband and wife. Phillip gave Therese, now his wife, the biggest, sweetest hug. It was joyful and tender!
Therese and Phillip, thank you so much for inviting us to share in your day of joy! It was such a pleasure to get to know you both throughout your engagement and even with all the unexpected twists and turns, your wedding day arrived and it was beautiful! God bless you both!
xoxo,
Laura
