Annie and Baby Luca | A Racoon Creek Maternity Session in Pittsburgh, PA

I met Annie just about a year ago, she was the maid of honor for DALTON’S WEDDING. I loved getting to know her throughout the wedding day so when she told me she was expecting a little baby boy and asked me to do her maternity photos, I was like “YESSS!!!!” For her session we met at Racoon Creek State Park outside of Pittsburgh, PA and we found some amazing locations along the lake. Taking maternity photos always brings back the memory of my pregnancies. Pregnancy can be so rough: the exhaustion, the nausea, the aches and insomnia. Labor isn’t a walk in the park by any means either. But once that baby is in your arms, there’s such a rush of joy that is inexplicable. I was told so many times that you will forget all of the painful, draining moments of pregnancy and labor once you hold your child. Enduring morning sickness for 40 weeks and a terribly long and painful labor with John, I couldn’t imagine forgetting all that.

But you do. You really do.
