A Rustic Farm Wedding at Heaven Sent Farms in Pittsburgh, PA

ADVENTURE. If there was one word to describe Teresa and John’s relationship it would be adventure. Their relationship leading up to their wedding had been filled with travel and new experiences. And now that they are married, the adventure continues. They are going to start their married life in Abu Dhabi…how cool is that?!?

From beginning to end, their wedding day was absolutely perfect! Teresa told me she was a planner and on the logistics side of things, we were always on schedule or even early! And the weather…gosh it was just perfect. Just wait for their sunset photos at the end of this post, the light was ah-mazing! But apart from all that, it really was just a perfectly wonderful. Their joy, their love, their excitement and zest for life really made the day and that came across in their photos.

Matthew and I had an incredible time spending all day with Teresa and John’s family and friends. It’s always fun to photograph a college friend’s wedding…you’re bound to run into people throughout the day that you knew back in college! I loved seeing old faces and catching up with them!

All of the details in this wedding were so special. The pearl necklace Teresa wore was her family’s necklace that her older sister wore at her wedding. The flowers at the reception were grown in some family friends backyards. And all of the reception details were travel themed! Each table was a different location that John and Teresa had visited. The little card gave some facts about the location and then a memory of theirs from the time they spent there. Such a good idea!

Their reception was at the beautiful HEAVEN SENT FARMS in Pennsylvania, just outside of Pittsburgh. This was an absolute dream venue as a photographer. Everywhere we looked there were stunning views and gorgeous details. We had so much FUN taking photos on their grounds and their staff was incredible to work with! We highly recommend this venue for future brides!
