Mount Washington + Emerald View Park Engagement | Jordan + Ryan

I love a good love story and highschool sweetheart love stories are some of my favorites.  Young love that blossoms into mature, self sacrificing love that desires the good of the other person.  It’s a beautiful thing! Jordan and Ryan met while in highschool and they started dating when Jordan was a junior and Ryan was a senior.  Ryan moved away the next year to go to college in New York and they have been distance for the past 6 years! I am always so impressed with long distance couples, how they make it work even though they are hours apart! It’s amazing and provides a great lesson on the value of good communication….key for a successful marriage!

Ryan proposed last year in….Positano, Italy!! Whaaat??? During their engagement session Jordan told me that he proposed they day they arrived in Italy…..she almost didn’t shower! They went for a walk to get familiar with the area and they came to a beautiful spot overlooking the ocean.  They were going to get a picture together and she was telling Ryan to look at the camera and smile, but when she looked over at him, he got down on one knee and proposed right there!! Gosh, what a proposal location with the stunning Amalfi Coast in the background!!

They were planning a wedding in Florence Italy but with all the travel restrictions due to the pandemic, they chose to change their plans and they will be married in 2021 at the beautiful Oglebay Resort in Wheeling, WV! Super excited for that next year!

When planning their engagement session, Jordan mentioned she wanted some natural/park settings as well as views of the Pittsburgh skyline! Mount Washington and Emerald View Park were the perfect locations for their session!  We had a blast getting to know this amazing couple during their session and gosh, they were so easy to photograph! Portrait time on their wedding day is going to be a breeze! They are naturals!
