Cincinnati Riverfront Engagement Session | Rachel + Seth

Over Labor Day weekend we traveled to Cincinnati, OH to meet up with Rachel and Seth for their downtown riverfront engagement session.  We absolutely LOVE visiting Cincinnati, it is such a beautiful city with stunning parks and gorgeous cityscapes. We have many good friends that live there and we always love an excuse to travel there for a visit!

Rachel and Seth have such an amazing story of how they met and an even more incredible story of how they got engaged! While they went to different colleges, Seth to Duke and Rachel to Franciscan,  they met in Gaming, Austria.  Rachel was studying abroad at Franciscan’s Austria Campus with Seth’s brother.  During the semester, Seth came to visit his brother and he met Rachel.  They instantly connected! They began dating long distance and continue to be long distance now that Seth is in the Marines.

Their engagement story is one of my favorites….Seth’s neighbor was a pilot and he took them for a ride in a small plane.  As they were flying over Seth’s family farm, he told her to look out the window.  In the field he had written “Marry Me?” and she turned back to him and he had the ring out.  Seriously, how epic is that proposal!?!?

Their engagement session was so much fun! We started at Smale Riverfront Park with the stunning John A. Roebling Suspension Bridge in the background.  You might recognize this location from Natasha and George’s wedding day. It was so great to be back and photograph here again! The second part of the session took us to the other side of the Ohio River, to Covington, Kentucky. We spent the rest of the time in the Historic Licking Riverside Neighborhood which has quiet cobblestone streets and gorgeous historic houses. It also has perfect views of the sun setting over the city of Cincinnati! By the end of the session we had gotten to know Rachel and Seth so much better and they had gorgeous portraits! Win win!

Rachel and Seth, thank you for inviting us to come out to Cincinnati for your engagement session, we loved spending time with you two and we can not wait to be back next Labor Day Weekend for your 2021 wedding!!
