When a bride sends you an email asking if the two outfits she’s picked from Morning Lavender will work for her engagement session, you do an elated HAPPY DANCE and then calmly reply: yes, those will work wonderfully! Everything about Elizabeth and Justin’s downtown Canton engagement session was picture perfect. Their outfits coupled with the lovely sunset light and the stunning location made this session a DREAM.
We started their session at the historic Victorian home of President William McKinley. It is now the First Ladies National Historic Site and Library. We found a beautiful courtyard beside it with cute benches and some flowers! Getting to chat with Elizabeth and Justin about their story, we learned that they met while attending the Traditional Latin Mass. Justin had introduced himself to Elizabeth after Mass one day and eventually asked for her number. They joke that they are a ‘corona couple’ as most of their relationship unfolded during the pandemic. Their wedding Mass will be a Solemn High Mass and we are just so excited to photograph their beautiful ceremony.
We finished their session at the William McKinley National Memorial (side note: the McKinley theme to this session was completely unintended). This spot was PERFECT for them and their outfits and a highlight for me. I am a HUGE fan of white stone steps! I was in heaven. Seriously these are some of my all-time favorite engagement images!!
Elizabeth and Justin, we thoroughly enjoyed our time with you and we cannot wait for your wedding this summer!!! It is going to be STUNNING!!
xoxo,
Laura
