Emmanuel Catholic Church + Lostcreek Memory Barn Wedding | Katie + Thomas

“I found him whom my soul loves.” This phrase from Song of Songs was nestled in beams of the Lostcreek Memory Barn. It served as the theme for Katie and Thomas’ wedding day, reminding all that the Lord had brought these two together. Their day was filled with prayer and thanksgiving for what God has done and will do with this amazing couple.

Katie and Thomas were surrounded by their dear friends and family as they promised to love and honor one another “through the think and the thin” as the deacon spoke of during his homily. They were married in the beautiful Emmanuel Catholic Church which is the oldest Catholic Church in Dayton, OH.

Just before the nuptial Mass, Katie and Thomas prayed together a consecration prayer to Jesus through Mary in the Marian garden next to the church. It was a beautiful moment to pause and pray together, offering their lives and marriage to God.

As the doors opened and Katie began to walk down the aisle with her father, all that Thomas could say was “wow”. He was just in awe; Katie looked absolutely radiant.

After their beautiful wedding Mass, we headed to their reception at the lovely Lostcreek Memory Barn just north of Dayton. It was the perfect setting for their reception. Katie switched into her cowgirl boots and she was ready to dance the night away. And gosh, let me tell you, this place was party central. You could literally feel the energy of the dancing reverberating through the floor of this 100 year old barn.

Matthew and I were deeply touched by the profound love of the two families. Both Katie and Thomas come from incredible families that are exceptional examples of the domestic church. The closeness of the siblings, the tender and deep love between the parents, it was so evident that their familial closeness was steeped in love of God.

Katie and Thomas, we consider it an absolute honor to have been able to serve you and your families. Your wedding day had a deep impact on us and our own marriage and we are so grateful for the opportunity to be there and capture your wedding day. Enjoy reliving your day through these images!

xoxo,
