St. Peter’s Catholic Church Wedding in Steubenville, OH | Jenna + Anthony

On our way home from Jenna and Anthony‘s wedding, Matthew and I kept commenting on how wonderful of a day it had been.  We were so inspired by Jenna and Anthony’s families.  They were just simply excellent.  There was so much sibling love, such strong family bonds, and a deep devotion to their Catholic faith.  All of these elements made for the perfect foundation for beginning a new family of their own.  Jenna and Anthony have been household names for our kids.  Jenna began watching John was he was just 10 months old.  She has seen our family grow over the years and we have had the privilege of seeing her grow into a beautiful woman of God.  When Anthony came into the picture, we just knew they were perfect for each other. After dating throughout college, their wedding day had finally arrived and excitement abounded!

Both Jenna and Anthony’s expressions were absolutely priceless as the doors opened and Jenna walked down the aisle.  Their Catholic wedding Mass at St. Peter’s Catholic Church in Steubenville was beautiful. This is our home parish and this will become their parish as well! After the Mass, we took portraits out of 4th street as well as Beatty Park.  This park held special significance to the couple as it was the location of their first date! Their bridal party was a riot and made portrait time so much fun!

One of my favorite parts of the day was their first dance.  When it began to play, I immediately knew which song it was…. “Heaven’s Knife” by John Garrels.  Jenna had first been introduced to this song at my home. This was OUR first dance song and we have a quote from it hanging in our home.  Jenna asked me about the quote and she listened to the song and she knew it would be the perfect song for her and Anthony.  So when it began to play and they started dancing, I began to cry! It’s such a sweet song, perfect for a first dance.  Take a listen to it.  It’s beautiful.

Jenna and Anthony, you. are. married.  We are beyond excited for you two and so happy you’ll be living just a few houses down from us! We hope you are having an amazing honeymoon and we can’t wait to see you when you’re back! We love you both!
