St. Monica St. George Wedding in Cincinnati | Elora + Joey

Elora and Joey’s late summer wedding, with hints of wisteria and gold, was one for the books.  There were so many memorable moments from this day, from Elora’s sweet first look with her father and brother to the way Joey gazed at her in awe as she walked down the aisle, with tears streaming down his cheeks. They were married in the magnificent St. Monica St. George Catholic Church in Cincinnati, OH, a stunning church downtown associated with the Catholic Bearcat Newman Center. This is where they have attended Mass as students, growing together in love and knowledge of Jesus.

One of my favorite moments from the day was during the Mass.  When Elora and Joey got engaged, they decided to pray with the Collect for their wedding Mass.  They prayed this prayer every day of their engagement. And when it was time for Father to pray the Collect on their wedding day, Elora looked at Joey and said “This is it.” and they mouthed the words of that prayer they had memorized together….what a testament to the prayerful preparation they made for their wedding day and for marriage.

Their reception was a spectacular celebration of the love they share and the amazing families that brought them to this day.  The dance floor was filled with family and friends, tearing up the dance floor.  When the song “Paradise by the Dashboard Light” came on, everyone was on the dance floor, participating in an epic song battle of boys vs. girls.  I will never forget that experience, being between the two sides, singing their hearts out!

Elora and Joey, we are beyond thrilled for you two.  Marriage is such a gift and we are so excited to see what God does with you and your new family!
