Mellon Park Fall Engagement Session | Maddie + Anthony

Maddie and Anthony’s engagement session was such a blast.  After booking their wedding, I interacted with Maddie via Instagram a few times and was so excited to meet her in person! Well, that day finally arrived and the weather was absolutely perfect! Maddie mentioned wanting to maximize the fall vibes for her first outfit and then we would switch to ultra-classy for the second.  And gosh, these two knocked it out of the park!!

We began in the always beautiful Mellon Park, nestled in the busy city of Pittsburgh.  This spot is so beautiful and peaceful, the perfect setting for a session any time of the year.  Maddie and Anthony were just so cute together and we loved getting to know them and their story.  They bonded over their shared love of the Traditional Latin Mass and they will be having a solemn high nuptial Mass for their wedding in February.

Our second location was the Mellon Institute and the area around Heinz Chapel. The dramatic steps outside of the Mellon Institute paired so well with their outfits.  They were such troopers, willing be to a little adventurous for me and to climb up onto a large step on the outside of the building.  I had a specific vision for this shot and they were so excited to try it out with me. It is probably my favorite shot from this session and one of my favorites of all time! Scroll down to see it!
