Grace’s Baptism

We celebrated Grace’s baptism when she was 3 weeks old. Friends and family came into town, even though the weather was calling for a CRAZY snow storm. Luckily it wasn’t as bad as they were predicting and everyone made it safely to Ohio. Grace wore my mother’s baptismal gown which is what I wore when I was baptized! Actually, all of my aunts, uncles, cousins, most of my siblings and John wore this gown. It’s been passed down through the family and I plan to pass it on to my children. It’s a simple, beautiful white gown with small pretty details. Grace looked so beautiful in it. I love the history of this gown. So many little babies in my family became children of God wearing it.

And now Grace is part of its history. Here are some photos from the special day!

I made my mother’s chocolate cake recipe with raspberries for the cake.

That’s John’s little hand stealing some fresh raspberries.
