Last month I met up with Jill and Alex in New Albany, Ohio for their engagement session. They are two high school sweethearts who have dated long distance through their college years and are now so excited to be preparing for the sacrament of matrimony next summer!
We began their engagement session at the Church of the Resurrection in New Albany, OH, which is a special location for the two of them. It is Jill’s home parish and it is also where Alex came into the Catholic Church and where his family now attends as well. And next year, it will be the church where they become husband and wife. So it was fitting to begin there, using the beautiful brick archways. We stopped in to pay a visit to the Blessed Sacrament and see the adoration chapel after a quick outfit change.
Then we used a few parts of town for the rest of their session. It was a beautiful summer evening, not too hot, not humid at all! It was a perfect night to shoot film and I’m just loving how their film scans turned out! Jill’s white and blue dresses paired so well with Alex’s outfit and popped off the scenery.
I can’t wait to return here next summer for their beautiful summer wedding day! The parish is building a stunning parish hall where their reception will be held. It looks like it’s going to be so lovely and bright, with big windows! Can’t wait!
xoxo,
Laura
