Heinz Chapel on the campus of the University of Pittsburgh was the perfect spot for Anna and Tony’s summer engagement session! These two met while attending this university, through the Newman center on campus. Tony ran a weekly Wednesday night social event including Mass, a holy hour, ending with a local food place for late-night snacks. They became friends and then began dating.
We had actually informally met these two about a year ago at Maria and John’s wedding. Tony was the best man and Anna read one of the readings at Mass. It was so wonderful to get to know these two during their engagement session. They told us about the proposal which involved a geode! Anna majored in geology and has a love of rocks so Tony wanted to incorporate that in a unique way. He actually proposed with the ring in the geode and they brought that geode to their engagement session. It made such a neat setting for some detailed shots of her ring!
We are super excited for their winter wedding in Pittsburgh early next year! Their engagement session had perfect summer weather so we’re hoping for some perfect winter weather for lovely snowy portraits!
