I’ve heard the story of God parting the Red Sea for the Israelites to escape Egypt. But I have now experienced God parting the rain clouds in the skies over Pittsburgh for an engagement session! Now it was slightly less epic than the story from Exodus, but we were so thankful for a reprieve from the rainy day right when we began Lindsey and Mark’s engagement session in Highland Park in Pittsburgh.
I had been in communication with Lindsey about the forecast for their session. We were driving in from Cincinnati and brought umbrellas with us because it was 90-100% chance of rain. But Linsdey showed me the radar on her weather app for our session time and there was a gap in the rain clouds right over our spot and it was scheduled to last for the entirety of their session! Praise God! So no need for the umbrellas and it meant that we had the whole beautiful park to ourselves, something that Lindsey says never happens on a Friday night in Highland Park!
Lindsey and Mark met at St. Stanislaus Church in downtown Pittsburgh after Mass. And it was in this same spot, outside of the church where he later proposed! So sweet! Both of their families live in Steubenville and so this summer they will be getting married in St. Peter’s Church in Steubenville (our old parish!) We are so excited for their wedding!
Enjoy scrolling through our favorites from this spring engagement session!

Laura
