December 4, 2018
Teresa and I met in college. We were RA’s together throughout our time at Franciscan University. I hadn’t seen her since graduation so I was so excited when she reached out to me about shooting her wedding this summer! She and John drove up from DC for their engagement shoot. When we had planned it, we didn’t know how the weather would be. The beginning of December can be so unpredictable. It could be a snow storm, rain, or sunny. We got not only sun but weather in the 60’s! Amazing for December! The four of us met at the local coffee shop, Leonardo’s, and Matthew and I got to meet John. It was immediately evident how much they adored each other. Over cups of coffee and hot chocolate, we got to know them as a couple and hear how they met and their proposal story. We took some photos in the coffee shop and went up into their ballroom on the 3rd floor for some photos. Afterwards we drove to a local Christmas tree farm to take more photos there. Because it was so warm and it had rained a TON the day before, there was so. much. mud. But they were troopers and it didn’t stop us from having a great time and getting some awesome shots. Funny fact: I tripped over a tree stump trying to get a certain shot (too bad Matthew didn’t get a photo, that would have been a great behind the scenes shot!). I am so excited for their wedding this summer. The reception venue is going to provide some incredibly beautiful photos! I CAN’T WAIT! (I really like pretty things….so I’m pumped).
