I love a good high school sweetheart story. When getting to know Sela and James, we found out they have been dating since high school! To make the spot even more special, this was the same spot where they first said “I love you”….how sweet is that??

I was so excited when I got a message from Scott, asking if I would take their family photos. I worked at Franciscan University with him before I had John. When I met with Scott and Jill to talk about what they were looking for in family photos, they pointed to the portrait on the family room wall. “This is the last time we had family photos taken” they said. “It’s missing our two youngest kids!” Those kids weren’t even born yet…that’s how long it had been since they had professional photos taken of the family.

Rachel and MJ the kind of people that, when you first meet them, you just know they are people who have hearts for service. MJ is in nursing school and Rachel is going to medical school…and they are both EMT firefighters! How cool is that?!? Not only do they live their lives in the service of others, they also have a deep love for each other that is so evident.

Their session was nothing short of perfect!

We have been so blessed to be the advisors for New Mexico Mission for 4 years now. The mission team serves in Gallup, NM and we work with the local Catholic schools, the Missionaries of Charity and the Little Sisters of the Poor.

One of the best parts of being both a wedding and family photographer is getting to photograph our Fire and Gold couples’ families as they grow! During all the craze about the Babywearing Bride, Dalton gave birth to her second child, a son. Sweet little Briar James.
